Pramaana means a source of knowledge. Prameya is the absolute truth. Pramaataa is a person who inquires using Pramaana and understands the Prameya.
The Vedas and our Sampradaaya Granthas (texts) are Pramaana. The Lord, his divine consorts, their divine abode, and their divine servants are all Prameya. Swami Raamanuja and his followers who helped understand the Vedas and extract this information are Pramaataas.
To preserve our rich Visishtaadvaita SriVaishnava tradition, we need to:
- Procure the SriVaishnava books and manuscripts, preserve them and propagate the principles contained in these Pramaaanas so that they are not lost upon future generations.
- Help the Pramaataas to get access to these Pramaanas to know and establish the Prameyam
- Provide Pramaataas with financial support to help them spend their full time with the Pramaanas
- Maintain a continuous flow of Visishtaadvaita SriVaishnava scholars and sustain the lineage of Aachaarya – Shishya (preceptor – disciple).
